World Championship Finalist and U.S. National Champion Track and Field star Donald Scott recently announced his new partnership with Bayou State’s rising beverage brand Hydra-Guard Sports Drink. The company, that also counts elite athletes such Denver Nuggets Paul Millsap, Minnesota Vikings Alex Mattison, Dallas Cowboys Cedrick Wilson, and LPGA Alexis Belton among its premier athletes, now welcomes the triple jump champion to its powerful roster.
Scott attended Eastern Michigan University (EMU), where he set many school records in track and field. While competing for the Eagles, Scott brought home nine Mid-American Conference (MAC) titles and two NCAA Division 1 All-American honors, and set the MAC and school record for the triple jump. He also came away his senior year with a 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, a third-place finish for the triple jump, and a runner-up finish indoors.
Donald joins Hydra-Guard as a brand ambassador in 2020 to complement his current training and journey to be in the best shape leading up to the 2021 U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials. “The legacy I want to leave behind is one that is inspiring. I want to engrave positivity and that furious drive into everyone that I come across so that they have the same keys that I use to unlock their own full potential. I have found my key to proper hydration in Hydra-Guard because it’s strategically formulated to help me achieve optimal performance during workouts/competitions. I’m very thankful to be a part of the Hydra-Guard family.”
The quickly rising natural sports drink originally launched in 2017 and expanded its footprint in recent years. CEO Joseph Tucker is very excited about the partnership with Donald and says “Donald Scott has a vision and he knows how to get there, there’s nothing stopping this guy from reaching the top. Scott has already seen success in his career, and he’s just warming up. We are honored to have him a part of the Hydra-Guard Team and play a role in keeping him properly hydrated.”
Donald is currently training in preparation for the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials for Track and Field which will be held in Eugene, Oregon in June of 2021. “I believe my drive and having faith is something that has gotten me far in life. I’m very thankful to be a part of the Hydra-Guard family,” adds Scott.
