Arkansas State Basketball Desi Sills Joins Hydra-Guard Sports Drink’s Team of Collegiate Stars

Arkansas State’s guard Desi Sills has taken advantage of NCAA’s new name-image-licensing era rules and recently announced his new partnership with Louisiana’s rising sports beverage brand, Hydra-Guard Sports Drink, making him the second collegiate athlete to partner with the brand.

The Louisiana based company that counts stars such as Denver Nuggets’ Paul Millsap, Minnesota Vikings’ Alexander Mattison and New Orleans SaintsTerron Armstead, and Ryan Ramczyk among its top professional athletes, now welcomes the former Arkansas Razorback and now Arkansas State Wolves Collegiate Star to its powerful roster of premium hydration.

Sills averaged 7.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while playing 20.8 minutes per contest as the Razorbacks finished the 2020-21 season at 25-7 and advanced to the Elite Eight, losing to eventual national champion Baylor. He was named to the 2021 SEC Winter Honor Roll and made the honor roll for Fall 2020.

Sills, who started in all 98 of Arkansas' games over the last three seasons, is now excited to become a Hydra-Guard Sports Drink Collegiate Ambassador, leading the way for the company’s new program which will focus on providing the best hydration products with natural ingredients for its athletes. Name, Image and Likeness legislation has rapidly reshaped college athletics in recent months as players use their brands to receive endorsement deals across the country.

As he looks forward to his first season with the Wolves, he also pays close attention to his nutrition and recovery on and off the court. “I take pride in playing the game of basketball. My love for the sport gives me the drive and ambition I need to go hard every time I step foot on the court. My health is a major factor. Hydra-Guard Sports Drink revolutionized the way I hydrate my body. It’s an all natural sports drink jam-packed with electrolytes and low sugars. I really love this product and feel it will be a major investment,” says Sills.

Sills is now looking forward to the upcoming season with the Arkansas State Wolves with his eyes set on a NCAA championship.
