Track Star Michael Cherry Joins Hydra-Guard Sports Drink

World Champion and Track Star Michael Cherry has recently announced a new partnership with rising beverage brand Hydra-Guard Sports Drink. Cherry, who grew up in New York and attended Louisiana State University during his collegiate career, announced the new partnership in April of 2020. He currently runs professionally for Nike and is one of the most decorated 400-meter runners in the history of the LSU Track & Field program.  Hydra-Guard’s Ambassador Team, that counts professional stars such as Denver Nuggets Paul Millsap, Minnesotta Vikings Alexander Mattison and former San Antonio Spurs Tiago Splitter among its elite athletes, now welcomes the USA Track & Field star as he prepares for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games Trials.

"The journey to this point has been amazing. I feel like I am living out my dream of always wanting to become a professional athlete. I’ve gotten where I am today by working hard and surrounding myself around the best people and brands to turn my dreams to a reality. I believe staying Properly Hydrated with Hydra-Guard Sports Drink is very important because it allows my body to always be performing at an optimal level,” says Michael.  Hydra-Guard’s CEO Joseph Tucker says “Mike has already seen much success in his career, and we are honored to have him a part of the Hydra-Guard Team and keep him properly hydrated to maintain peak performance.”  Michael is very excited to partner with the beverage brand as he prepares for the Tokyo Olympic Games Trials that will be held in 2021. “I believe partnering with Hydra-Guard fits my overall lifestyle because as a track and field athlete, I get easily dehydrated being in the sun training all day. Hydra-Guard Sports Drink is packed with essential electrolytes and no artificial flavors, so it helps me hydrate properly unlike a lot of Sports Drinks out there which are loaded with unnecessary sugar and artificial flavoring.”
