NBA Star and Hydra-Guard Partner Paul Millsap has recently agreed to return to the Denver Nuggets on a one-year, $10 million dollar contract.
The 15-year NBA veteran is easily recognized as one of NBA’s most prominent defensive players to ever play in the league since his NBA debut in 2006, when he was selected by the Utah Jazz in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team that season. He joined the Nuggets in 2017 and has spent the past three seasons helping to bring a young Nuggets team to the next level.
In 2020, Millsap helped the Denver team reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2009. Together, they made history as they became the first team in the NBA to ever secure two back-to-back series wins after falling into a 3-1 hole in this year's NBA Playoffs. In total, Paul has made it to the Playoffs level in 11 out of his 14 years in the league.
“We started something three years ago and we’re looking to finish it,” Millsap said after his return to Ball Arena this week.
The 4x NBA All-Star has always made his nutrition and health a priority, which reflects his elite performance and extremely successful career in the NBA. Paul’s ability to maintain playing at the highest level has been nothing short of amazing. It's a professional career that every athlete strives for.
The key for longevity in any athlete’s career is to take care of their bodies first and that's something that Paul has obviously done very well. A rising natural beverage brand out of Louisiana called Hydra-Guard Sports Drink caught Paul’s attention in early 2019, when he officially partnered with them in efforts to bring the brands healthy benefits more readily available to more households across the country.
"Being a professional athlete naturally encourages me and my family to live a healthy lifestyle. Hydra-Guard Sports Drink raises the bar to unprecedented heights with its beverage innovation. It’s packed with electrolytes, and being an all natural sports drink with low sugars is a game changer, this product is changing the industry," says Paul.
"We are very excited to see Paul back in Denver to finish what he started there. Paul has been a prominent player in the NBA ever since he arrived and his longevity in his career speaks volume to his overall health and from the looks of it, he's just getting better and better every year,” says Joseph Tucker, Hydra-Guard’s Founder and CEO.
